This carving depicts black bear and its cubs. It represents the different aspects of wildlife that were affected by the Missionary Ridge fire. Not only were families affected by the fire, but animals were forced to evacuate the area as well.
This is the second carving in the series of “Tour of Carvings” that bring you around the Vallecito Lake Community. There are a total of 14 carvings spread around the Vallecito Lake Area for you to find and enjoy. Take a picture with the carving, and use #tourofcarvings on social media!
